Laundry Day; An Update or “The Blob”

“Good God, what is that thing?!”

Don’t be scared! It’s just laundry detergent!

My earlier post from yesterday showed the step-by-step on how to make your own laundry detergent. “The Blob” effect is good! It means it has congealed like it was supposed to.

As I stirred, I tried to break up “the blob” against the side of the bucket. It turned to frothy, slightly thick laundry detergent in no time.

See? And it smells amazing!

You only need a 1/2 cup per load. I’ll keep you posted on how my first load with this stuff works out!

OMG! The clothes soap looks great. Fred said his grandmother always made her own clothes soap. He knew just what was in it. Said it works good too, had to on Pa’s clothes because they got pretty dirty…….good job!

  2. Ok so I posted on the earlier post about the detergent so never mind! 😉 but seriously we have a lot on common. My BFF was just telling me today I’m all “little house on the prairie” bc I’m making my own detergent and my hubby is growing the garden and we got chickens. And then I find your blog and the title is so perfect and ironic. Can’t wait to read more from you 🙂

    • Hi Christie!

Thank you so much for reading! That is so awesome that you and your hubby have chickens, I’m so jealous!! You should share some blog entries of your own with your adventures with them! Thanks again for stopping by!
